About Blue Kite

Our founder, Madelaine Berlin, is a skilled education practitioner with QTS and approaching two-decades of school teaching and management, consulting and tutoring experience.

Blue Kite’s journey began ten years ago when a life-changing event became a catalyst for Madelaine to pursue her ambition to start her own bespoke tutoring agency. The tutoring sector was flourishing and Maddie travelled the world – from Ibiza to New York City – as a private tutor and education consultant to families, before settling in Sussex. Her work has been documented and recommended in Vanity Fair, The Times and in publications in China, Mumbai and Switzerland.

Blue Kite’s aim is to change childrens’ lives for the better. Since its beginnings, Madelaine has built the agency and now works with 24 professional tutors across a range of subjects and specialism. Blue Kite covers everything, from entrance exams to some of the UK’s top private schools, to GCSEs and A-Levels. In particular, Blue Kite Tuition specialises in individualised and, often complex, home-schooling and SEN/G&T home-to-school provision.

Madelaine holds academic attainment and wellbeing in equal regard – when required, she takes a cross-disciplinary approach and has working relationships with several of the UK’s top educational specialists, including child psychologists, occupational therapists and counsellors.
